Location

The seminar will take place at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), which is located at the north limit zone of Porto city. The campus is easily accessible by Metro (recommended), using the Yellow Line and IPO stop, and by Bus.

Getting to and from the airport

The city of Porto is served by a single airport – Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport – located about 12 km from the city centre. To get from the airport to the city, several options are available:

• • Metro: Line E (Purple) is an excellent connection between the airport and the city centre (recommended).
  • Shuttles: direct shuttles from the airport to hotels in the city centre are also available.
  • Taxi: Taxis can be found right in front of the airport door. A ride to the city centre is around 20.00 €. Volumes needing to be carried in the luggage compartment are charged 1.50 €.

Alternatively, it is possible to fly to Lisbon and travel to Porto (300 km) by train or bus.
